The perinatal period is a time where mothers and their infants may be at risk of significant harm. This session will address the role of parental mental disorder in relation to maternal mortality, infanticide, neonaticide and in serious abuse related harm of young children. The presenters will explore how mental health professionals can work to reduce risk in their clinical practice.
