NEPTUNE module 3: Acute harms and management of stimulants

This module is aimed at clinicians who are likely to come into contact with people presenting to hospital with acute harms resulting from the use of novel psychoactive substances (NPS) and club drugs.

Specifically, this module provides learning about the acute harms of stimulant NPS and club drugs and their management.

This module will focus on the following stimulant drugs:

• MDMA and its analogues
• mephedrone and other synthetic cathinones
• methamphetamine
• ethylphenidate and other stimulant NPS.
