Addiction treatments have progressed little in the past 30 years. This session presents some exciting new approaches: the use of ketamine and MDMA to disrupt the brain processes of alcohol adduction and depot buprenorphine to provide enduring cover for heroin addiction. if more widely accepted these may significantly improve treatment outcomes in the future.
