This essential masterclass will enhance your understanding of the impact of inequality on mental health and the structural factors that drive inequality. Professionals an organisations need the required competencies to improve the access to, experience and outcomes in psychiatric services for all individuals with protected characteristics equitably. More specifically you will learn about inequalities that impact on mental health, (2) development of the RCPsych flagship Advancing Mental Health Equality (AMHE) Collaborative which is an example of an incremental approach to address inequality and (3) the fundamental role of coproduction and co-design to enhance the effectiveness of equality initiatives through collaboration with local communities. The masterclass will explore how to overcome persistent barriers to progressing equality.
