Overview
This session will explore the needs to high quality peer reviewing and it will walk the audience through different types of peer reviews (books, narrative reviews, primary research etc) with guidance from experienced reviewers from the Royal College of Psychiatrists stable of journals.
Objectives
• To understand the contribution of peer reviewing to Research Integrity.
• To consider what a book review really is.
• To learn how to critically evaluate a narrative review.
• To become confident in reviewing a primary research paper.
• To participate in the review of (part of) a sample paper.
