The development of leadership and management competencies should be available to psychiatrists at all levels. This session will explore some of the ways in which this is can be facilitated.

The session will be chaired by Ananta Dave, Consultant Child Psychiatrist and Chief Medical Officer, NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board.

Associate Registrar for Leadership, Helen Crimlisk will describe the development of the national RCPsych Leadership and Management Fellowship Scheme. She will outline the value of a collaborative approach to development with leadership from the programme director, tutors, module leads and alumni developing a faculty of psychiatrists with leadership and educational competencies.

Medical Director, Mike Hunter will outline the value and process of a trust-led leadership and management development initiative to facilitate the development of skills across trainee, SAS and consultant psychiatrists.
