In this session you will explore:
- Concept to Manuscript: How to turn an idea into a well-structured manuscript. We will offer strategies for framing your research to attract attention from high impact journals and help on choosing the right journal and understanding your audience
- Navigating the Submission Process: an insider’s look at the technicalities of formatting, cover letters, and negotiating different journal platforms. We will share insights on avoiding common pitfalls and what to expect, and our experiences as clinical editors including routes into clinical publishing
- The Peer Review Experience: We will examine the peer review process from the perspectives of researchers and reviewers. We will share how editors balance these dual roles and offer strategies for responding to reviewer comments
- Amplifying Research Impact: We will conclude by exploring what happens after publication and discuss how researchers can amplify the impact of their work through press releases, infographics, blogs, vlogs, podcasts, social media and the rest.
