Overview

This panel discussion aims to bring together a diverse group of speakers, each representing different stages in their careers, to share their unique experiences in navigating the challenges and prejudices that women often encounter in psychiatry and healthcare, particularly within leadership roles.

Our panellists, hailing from various backgrounds and expertise levels, will candidly discuss the myriad of obstacles they have faced and continue to confront as female leaders. Through their inspiring narratives, they will address issues such as gender bias, imposter syndrome, work-life balance, and discrimination, shedding light on both the progress that has been made and the work that still lies ahead in achieving gender equity in the field.

This session will offer invaluable insights into the resilience, determination, and strategies employed by women in leadership roles to overcome these hurdles. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of the importance of diversity in medical leadership, and the steps needed to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment.
