Type:TrOn learning module
The aim of this module is to make a few basic concepts, such as types of brain receptors, easier to understand so that these may subsequently be used in clinical practice. This has been done by using simple examples that are occasionally accompanied by visual aids. Pharmacology concepts have also been linked with clinical examples in order to assist the reader to make better sense of their importance in practice.
Finally, there is a small section dedicated to genetic differences and their role in psychopharmacology, which aims to introduce the topic to the reader and hopefully stimulate some relevant thoughts.
We hope that you will enjoy the module.
This module is free to access for anyone registered with the College as a resident doctor, member, affiliate, Student Associate or Foundation Doctor Associate – just log in with your College details (not OpenAthens) to access the modules.
