In this module we will examine the role of social factors in relation to mental health issues.
We will explore how society and social psychiatry has contributed towards, developed and disputed major mental health disorders such as schizophrenia, depression and substance misuse.
As psychiatrists, one of the main models we adhere to is a bio-psycho-social approach and it is therefore important to ensure that social aspects are adequately explored and covered.
This module is free to access for anyone registered with the College as a resident doctor, member, affiliate, Student Associate or Foundation Doctor Associate – just log in with your College details (not OpenAthens) to access the modules. For non-members it is available as part of a TrOn subscription.
