Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) Part 1.jpg

The idea that our well-being fluctuates with the seasons has been around for literally thousands of years, but it was only in the late 1980s that Norman Rosenthal and colleagues gave a name to seasonal affective disorder or SAD.

In this module, we will look at:

  • the history and evolution of SAD
  • the epidemiology and aetiology of SAD
  • symptoms of SAD and diagnosis.
